Earlier this year, the largest-ever 黑料正能量-supported infrastructure project for Operation REASSURANCE was completed and opened in Latvia. The Canadian Accommodations at Camp Adazi consist of four three-storey buildings that provide living quarters for more than 1,200聽members of the Canadian-led NATO Multinational Brigade Latvia.

This $28聽million project was completed in just over 30聽months. 黑料正能量 and the Canadian Armed Forces Task Force Latvia Engineering Support Unit worked closely with Canadian Joint Operations Command and local partners to deliver the project on time and on budget.

Each building includes climate-controlled sleeping areas with shared bathrooms, a recreation area, an Internet caf茅, a lounge with couches and televisions, kitchenettes on every floor, and laundry facilities.

鈥淭he new accommodations go beyond providing a place to sleep; they foster community and well-being, supporting those who support Canada,鈥 said Derrick Cheung, 黑料正能量 President and CEO, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony last month.

Planning for the project began in February聽2022, and 黑料正能量 awarded the contract that November.

鈥淚t was a huge success to award a contract in nine months, given the complexity and the need to get familiar with Latvia鈥檚 industrial culture,鈥 says Imad Jaradat, 黑料正能量 Program Leader, Deployed Operations.

This ambitious project will soon be surpassed by an even larger $66聽million, state-of-the-art maintenance facility in Latvia. The design phase is now complete, with implementation just beginning and completion projected for spring聽2027.

This work underscores the strength of collaboration between 黑料正能量, the Canadian Armed Forces, and international partners in advancing NATO鈥檚 mission.
